The Al-Kadhimiya Mosque is named after the seventh Imam of Shia Islam, Musa al-Kadhim, who is buried here along with his grandson, Muhammad at-Taqim. The mosque is located in the northern part of Baghdad, in the Kadhimiya district, which is named after this important shrine.
