Benecko lies on the southwestern slopes of Janský vrch and Žalý mountains in the western Giant Mountains. In winter, the Benecko region has ideal snow conditions for downhill skiers and groomed circuits for cross-country skiers. The Benecko ski area with a modern four-seater cable car - Kejnos offers six slopes. Trails 3, 4, 6 and 13 km are prepared for cross-country skiers, as well as the routes Benecko - Rovinka 3 km, Rovinka - Třídomí - Horní Mísečky 7 km, Rovinka - Janovu hora - Horní Mísečky 7 km and Rovinka - Žalý 5 km.

The Krkonoše village of Benecko is located in the Jilemnice region, in the north-eastern part of the Semily district. Benecko is located in the western Giant Mountains and there is a smaller ski area with complete facilities for cross-country and downhill skiing. Here you can use the 328-meter-long anchor lift on Šlohner Hill and the 750-meter-long modern four-seater cable car.
In summer in the Benecko region, the nature of the Krkonoše National Park offers opportunities for walks and hikes in the area. A large number of cycle paths are prepared for cycling trips.
