Take a look at the city of Halifax and its surroundings with an ONLINE webcam. A webcam captures the MacKay Bridge in the Canadian city of Halifax.

The MacKay Bridge opened in 1970 and is named after Hugo D. MacKay, a former mayor of Halifax. This suspension bridge was built across Halifax Harbor and is a key link between the city of Halifax on the Halifax Peninsula and the city of Dartmouth on the opposite shore of the bay.

The MacKay Bridge is a suspension bridge over 1.3 kilometers long, making it one of the longest bridges in the province of Nova Scotia. Its two massive towers stand out over the bay and support the central suspension bridge.

Halifax is the capital of the province of Nova Scotia in Canada, located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The history of Halifax dates back to 1749, when the city was founded as a military fortress by the British Crown.

The city played an important role during the American War of Independence, as well as during the First and Second World Wars, serving as a key military base. In 1917, tragedy struck Halifax when a munitions explosion occurred, causing one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history.

Halifax Harbor is one of the largest and deepest harbors in the world. There is also a military base and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, which commemorates the city's rich maritime history.
