The Canary Islands are an autonomous community of Spain. It is an archipelago of seven main islands and several other smaller islets of volcanic origin in the North Atlantic. The Canary Islands lie about 100 km west of the coast of Morocco and the Western Sahara. It is one of the most famous vacation spots. The natural formation Roque nublo, "cloud rock", is one of the symbols of the island and measures 1813 meters above sea level.
Lanzarote - Visiting the Parue Nacional de Timanfaya National Park on this island will certainly not make you stupid. Many endemic species living only in these parts can be seen here.
La Palma - Its capital, Santa Cruz de la Palma, is also associated with the name of Christopher Columbus, who stopped here during his discovery expeditions. Tourists can visit the maritime museum here.
