Apart from its historical and religious value, it also offers breathtaking natural beauty that attracts nature lovers and tourists from all over the world.
Mount Tai is one of the five sacred mountains of China and is known as "the first sacred mountain under heaven". The first religious ceremonial sites on this mountain were built thousands of years ago, and since then it has become a place of pilgrimage for believers from all over China.
A long stone path leads to the top of the mountain, lined with stone steps and surrounded by ancient cedars. On the way up you can admire a number of historical and religious monuments, including temples, arks and stone inscriptions. The top of the mountain is home to several shrines and provides a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside.
