Snezka (Polish Śnieżka, German Schneekoppe) with a height of 1,603 meters above sea level, is not only the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, but also a popular destination for tourists and nature enthusiasts. The Czech-Polish border passes through the peak of Snezka, which is at an altitude of 1603m. The highest point of Sněžka is located on the Polish side of the border, a few meters from the chapel of St. Lawrence.
From Snezka you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Giant Mountains. The northern, Polish side falls into the valley of the Lomnička river, the western part into the Úpská raselina, the southwestern part into the Giant's Mine, the southeastern part into the valley of the Deer Stream, and the eastern part into the Giant's Ridge.
At the top of Snezka there is a Polish hut with a meteorological station, the final station of the cable car from Pece pod Sněžkou, a stone trigonometric obelisk and the 14 m high rotunda chapel of St. Lawrence.

The safari in Dvůr Králové nad Labem can be completed on foot, by Safaribus, Afrika Express or in your own car, at dusk as part of the Evening Safari or by the Katika Miti cable car in the heights of the trees.
Among the natural attractions of the Hradec Králové region, the Giant Mountains with the highest mountain Sněžka are in the first place. The Giant Mountains are the largest and also the most visited mountains in our country. Thanks to its beauty, snow conditions in winter, in summer thanks to a large number of hiking and biking trails, they have become one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Czech Republic. Špindlerův Mlýn is one of the most famous winter resorts. The Špindlerův Mlýn ski resort offers 27 km of slopes and tens of kilometers of groomed cross-country trails. Skiers will be taken to the peaks by several chair lifts, including the most modern heated six-seater cable car to Pláň. Another resort is Pec pod Sněžkou, which offers skiing for 1 ski pass, including Montenegro. SkiResort Černá hora - Pec is the largest ski resort in the Czech Republic, which has 44 km of groomed trails. Other well-known ski resorts are Černý Důl and Paseky nad Jizerou. Not only skiers in the Giant Mountains will enjoy themselves in the winter. The Giant Mountains attract visitors all year round. For example, not far from Jánské Lázně, there is a Treetop Trail, which offers visitors a walk with a total length of 1,511 meters and which takes them to the treetops up to a height of 45 meters. The center of the central Giant Mountains is Vrchlabí, a town with a unique and pleasant atmosphere of a mountain resort.
Tourists can visit other natural beauties with a dense network of marked hiking trails and numerous views from the rock formations in the Adršpach Rocks in the Broumov region.
Cyclists will certainly use the Trutnov Trails - a network of one-way off-road trails for mountain bikes in the vicinity of Trutnov, Čížkovy kamen and Jestřebí hory.
Lovers of monuments and history can visit a large number of castles and chateaux in this region, some of them - Opočno, Kuks, Dětenice, Častolovice, Hrádek u Nechanic, Náchod, Ratibořice and Rychnov nad Kněžnou. Those interested in history will certainly be interested in the Josefov and Dobrošov fortress.
