The cruiser Aurora is a historic ship located in the Russian city of St. Petersburg (formerly Leningrad). This ship became a symbol of the revolutionary movement in Russia and is best known for its participation in the events that led to the October Revolution of 1917.
On October 25, 1917, a shot was fired from the ship Aurora, which was given the signal to launch an attack on the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. This event marks the beginning of the October Revolution, which led to the fall of the Tsarist regime and the establishment of the Soviet regime in Russia.
Today, the ship is permanently moored on the Neva River in St. Petersburg and is open to visitors. In the museum, you can see exhibits and artifacts related to the Revolution and the Navy, including the original cannon system.
