Show webcamWatch the eruption at the top of one of the most active volcanoes in the world - the Sicilian volcano Etna - with a webcam. Webcam view of the peaks of Mount Etna, which is located north of the volcanological observatory.
Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in Europe and is located in the east of Sicily, which is an Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the most famous and important volcanoes in the world.
Etna is a stratovolcano that reaches over 3,300 meters above sea level, making it the highest active volcano in Europe. The volcano is known for its frequent eruptions and is still active.
You can reach the top of the volcano from the Rifugio Sapienza parking lot (1,910 m above sea level) on foot or by cable car, which takes you to a height of 2,500 m above sea level. You can then continue from Torre del Filosofo (2,920 m above sea level). From here you can only get to the top of Etna with a mountain guide. In winter, you can use two ski resorts on the slopes of Mount Etna - Nicolosi and Linguaglossa.
The area around Mount Etna is also famous for its breathtaking views of the Sicilian countryside and the Mediterranean Sea.
Take a look at the cameras so that you are not surprised by its activity during the ascent of the Etna volcano:-)
