The city of Znojmo, located in the south of Moravia, is one of the most important historical and wine-growing centers of this part of the Czech Republic. It charms its visitors with its romantic medieval historical core, winemaking tradition and unique atmosphere.

The history of the city dates back to the 11th century, and it is from this period that its most important monument - the Znojmo Castle - originates. This impressive fortress, built on a rocky promontory above the city, has witnessed many historical events. A visit to the castle takes you back in time and allows you to explore its ramparts, towers and palaces. However, visitors are most looking forward to entering the unique catacomb system, which is one of the most extensive in Central Europe.

     The Czech Republic was established on January 1, 1993 by the division of Czechoslovakia. The official name of the state according to the constitution is the Czech Republic.
