The resort Pakoštane lies between the sea and Lake Vrana, 8 km southeast of Biograd na Moru. The picturesque scenery of the town is completed by three small islands - Babuljaš, Veli školj and Sveta Justina, as well as green pine forests and a strip of beaches. Pakostane consists of an old part by the sea and a new part by the highway. The main landmark of the city is the Church of the Ascension, located in the city center.
Pakoštane is one of the lesser-known resorts, but it is ideally located for a great holiday. Here you will find everything that belongs to a pleasant time, such as restaurants, cafes and shops and beautiful pebble and sandy beaches. At the same time, there is the charm of Mediterranean nature and the pleasant atmosphere of a quieter resort with nightlife in the summer months.
There is no hotel in the town, but you can stay in a large number of private apartments, a campsite or in a larger complex Pine beach club Pakoštane, which offers tourists simple straw houses in Polynesian style.
In Pakoštane you will find nicely landscaped pebble beaches, where there is sometimes sand. Bužakovina beach is located in the tourist complex Pine beach. The cities of Zadar and Šibenik, full of historical monuments and Mediterranean mood, are also worth a visit. Also popular is the nearby island of Vrgada and a number of sandy beaches, where you will find peace for a pleasant rest.
Lake Vrana is a destination for fishermen and cyclists, who will enjoy the newly built trails with educational boards. A shorter trail leads from Pakoštane to Biograd na Moru along the so-called Macadam's road. The second trail is 38 kilometers long and leads around Lake Vrana. This trail is followed by another, which leads to more remote and elevated places around Lake Vrana.

The most important ancient building in all of Croatia is Diocletian's Palace in Split, built in the 4th century by Emperor Diocletian as his seat and at the same time a defensive fortress. A system of sixteen karst lakes Plitvice Lakes, which are arranged in steps of each other in a length of about 7 km and connected by 92 waterfalls falling from a height of 3-76 meters. Starigradsko polje on the island of Hvar, where it was preserved the division of land from 2500 years ago of Greek colonizers. The last inscription on the UNESCO list protects unique medieval tombstones (Stećci) from the 13th - 16th century.
